Smith's business relationships, civic activities, and family. In 1891 he married Mary Rosilla Shawe, whose family was well-known in local musical circles. Included in the collection are two letters from Thomas Holyoke to Charles H. F. Smith regarding plumbing for a house that Cass Gilbert designed for Smith at 339 Summit Avenue.
